Overview
Once you have received training and are self-sufficient in the role, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
* Working with the Construction Director to cost architectural plans. Attend initial customer appointments to calculate and prepare tender submissions using our in-house pricing software, then presenting to customers alongside the Sales team.
* Calculate final figures for estimated cost to include allowances for risk, overhead and profit margins. Evaluation of options or alternatives for customers.
* Determine quantity of work scope to produce accurate and realistic estimates for works. Provide estimates to the Projects team for contract variations. Prepare subcontractor estimates for projects and compare returned quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Research the market to identify associated costs of delivering a project including materials, labour, and plant.
* Direct communication with suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain strong working relationships and keep costs updated. Develops relationships within their area of expertise and other parts of the business to achieve results. Build and develop existing and new architect relationships.
* If you have experience of working with building/construction drawings, whether through job experience or a relatable degree, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to join a supportive team that you can grow and develop within. Must have ability to understand and work with building/construction drawings, either gained from job experience or a relevant degree.
* Must be computer literate and be able to learn to use new software.
* A friendly and personable character with great communications skills.
Benefits / Details
* Salary of £26,000 - £29,000 negotiated on experience.
* 40 hours per week, 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
