Position: HR Assistant

Pertemps is recruiting an HR Assistant to join their client in Duns. The primary purpose of this role is to support a wide range of HR activities to enhance the employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for HR queries via face-to-face interactions, email, and telephone.
* Provide timely and accurate advice to assist managers with employee opportunities and concerns.
* Oversee employee relations casework, including investigations and flexible working requests.
* Manage sickness absences and handle all associated administrative tasks.
* Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing employees.
* Analyze HR processes to identify and implement improvements.
* Support internal and external audit activities.
* Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly HR reports.
* Assist the HR Advisor/HR Business Partner with various ad hoc projects.
* Maintain data in SAP, draft letters, file documents, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.

About You
* Essential: Previous HR experience with a solid understanding of employment legislation.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Proficient in IT, including SAP and Microsoft Office, with a good grasp of HR systems.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively.
* Commercially and customer-aware, with a strong focus on quality.
* Capable of handling confidential and sensitive information with respect.
* HR qualification is desirable but not required.
* In-depth knowledge of employment law.
* Positive and proactive "can-do" attitude.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Skilled in managing change.
