We
are looking for a deputy sales manager to join our busy cultural
services team. The successful candidate will be part of the marketing
and sales department. This is a temporary post for up to 12 months,
and we need the applicant to start as soon as possible.
Duties
will include managing the box office sales assistants who work within
our Chesterfield venues including the Winding Wheel Theatre,
supporting and training users of the box office system (Spektrix) and
creating and updating guides to the system and related policies.
You
will be the key administrator for the box office system (Spektrix)
including adding events and the setting up and running of reports. As
well as this you will have key responsibility in ensuring tickets
sold through 3rd party ticket agencies and group bookings are
administered and you will support the marketing function of the team
through preparation of reports, regular administration and proofing
of customer communication such as direct mails and e-newsletters.
The
successful applicant will take a proactive and consistent approach to
the sales of group bookings by generating new leads and helping
retain existing customers. You will ensure you are fluent in the use
of the system and learn our processes, you will be required to work
on the box office (selling tickets) at one of our ticketing outlets
for at least a few hours per week.
You
will work 30 hours per week. There will be 4 daytime shifts and 1
afternoon to evening shift per week and these will be worked Monday
to Friday. The exact hours of these shifts can be discussed and
agreed before appointment, but an example of the hours is: daytime
shifts 10am-4.30pm and afternoon-evening shift 2pm-8.30pm. Each shift
is 6.5 hours per day including a 30-minutes unpaid break.
There
will be a need to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays to cover
the box office sales assistants as and when required. This role is
hybrid which means that there is an option for home working on some
of the days.
