Overview
The aims of the Transport Service are to provide safe, accessible and efficient transport means to vulnerable people so that they can participate in the services offered by Day Opportunities for vulnerable people throughout North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day management of a team of transport staff, delivering a comprehensive and professional service.
* Ensure health and safety regulations and Road Traffic legislation are adhered to in relation to transportation and vehicle safety.
* Coordinate transport operations to satisfy customers' needs through efficient fleet usage.
* Drive vehicles as and when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* D1 driving entitlement.
* Level 4 supervision/management qualification or equivalent competence.
* Experience managing, recruiting, delivering training to staff.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults with a range of needs.
* Experience working within a transport environment, customer care and decision‑making skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
* Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
