As a Mental Health Technician at Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer an environment that is supportive, educational, and clinically focused. Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment. Located in Malvern, PA, this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with adolescents while assisting, supporting, and instructing individuals in self-help, coping skills, and positive behavioral interventions outlined in a clinical treatment plan.

* Engage in daily activities such as Recreational and Social Activities that enhance social skill development.
* Address and redirect inappropriate behavior of individuals you are working with.
* Implement treatment plan goals and objectives.

* Rate of $20-$22.80 an hour (dependent upon experience and education).
* Available Shift:
o 3pm - 11:30pm
o Must be available every other weekend.

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma and two years of direct care experience or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline, including but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, health, recreation, criminal justice, and counseling.
Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
