We're looking for an experienced Grants Officer to join our Economic Development team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for a 9-month fixed-term contract.

We're looking for a motivated Grants Officer to join our Economic Development team to support the delivery of business grant programmes funded by central government and other public sources.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of business grant schemes, including those funded by central government such as the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF). You'll help ensure that funding reaches the right businesses, supports innovation and growth, and aligns with our wider economic development goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administering business grant programmes from promotion to post-award monitoring.
* Supporting local businesses through the application process with clear, practical advice.
* Assessing applications for eligibility, value for money, and strategic fit.
* Monitoring project delivery and collecting evidence of impact.
* Ensuring compliance with funding regulations and audit requirements.
* Working closely with colleagues across finance, procurement, and regeneration.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience in grant management, business support, or economic development.
* Understands the needs and challenges of SMEs and local enterprises.
* Is confident working with financial and project data.
* Is organised, analytical, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Experience with government-funded programmes such as UKSPF, REPF, or similar is highly desirable.
