You will be joining our expanding Buildings Technology Services team, as an ICT Engineer, with accountability for ICT design, project management and delivery from inception through to handover
Building Technology Systems (BTS) team provides Smart, ICT, Audio Visual & System Integration design. We’re looking for a Principal ICT Engineer with a significant background in IT Network Design
You will be designing IT networks within buildings, implementing leading edge network designs and technologies into real world applications
You will liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand, develop, and interpret their requirements from concept to detailed design on multi-disciplinary design projects
Collaborate across WSP with specialists in areas like MEP, Smart, AV to develop holistic solutions
Create future-ready buildings with the ICT foundation to deliver great user experiences
Responsibilities
Join and contribute to a team delivering ICT design, project management and delivery from inception to handover
Design IT networks within buildings, using leading edge network designs and technologies
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to interpret requirements from concept to detailed design
Collaborate with specialists across disciplines to develop holistic solutions
Support creation of future-ready buildings with strong ICT foundations
Your Team
Work on a variety of projects with building owners, tenants, and developers worldwide, focusing on user experience, operational efficiency, and sustainability
UK Building Services Team delivers high-rise, data centres, stadia, healthcare projects and more

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
A passion for the future of technology in the built environment
Experience in ICT design and project delivery of medium to large building projects
Ability to produce detailed design and performance specifications, subject to review
Ability to carry out feasibility studies for review
Experience in producing detailed equipment schedules with discipline designs
Experience providing design and technical advice on projects led by seniors or as discipline lead on smaller projects
Ability to create and interpret technical documents including reports, diagrams, drawings and specifications
Ability to work independently with initiative; or follow direction as needed
Ability to communicate complex technical information to clients
Understanding of specialist building systems including MEP, BMS, fire safety, lighting and security, and modern smart buildings
Relevant degree for Chartership or accreditation route (CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council)
Revit MEP training applied to the discipline
Any accredited network qualification (e.g., Cisco certifications or RCDD)
Eligible to live and work in the UK and capable of achieving UK SC security clearance
