As Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the financial strategy and ensuring the organisation runs smoothly.
2. Managing a dedicated Accounts Assistant.
3. Overseeing payments, invoicing, bookkeeping, and budget control.
4. Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
5. Collaborating with external accountants during audits.
6. Ensuring accurate filing of VAT and other tax returns.
7. Managing payroll and employee benefits.
8. Liaising with volunteer Treasurers.
9. Ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
While experience in voluntary organisations is ideal, it is not essential; a genuine passion for supporting community-oriented initiatives is highly valued.
