Job Type: 12 month FTC and Permanent Opportunities
Location: This role could be based in either our Wythall (Birmingham), Telford, or Edinburgh office with 1 or 2 days per month in the office and the rest spent working at home.

Our ‘Finance Data, Systems and Change’ team is going through a period of change, making it an exciting time to join this area of Phoenix Group. We are therefore recruiting for a number of Test Managers to join this flexible team!
The role
You’ll oversee testing and test governance for a variety of projects impacting both our actuarial and accounting systems, ensuring every change we make is of high quality. You’ll represent the testing service in wider project forums, keeping them up to date on planning, progress, and any risks or opportunities identified.
This is an excellent chance to develop your career and build your profile at Phoenix. You’ll ensure changes to our key systems are robustly tested, and that our service remains up to date while continuing to inspire confidence to the wider business. Your ideas will matter and be listed to in this team. As you develop in role, you’ll play an important role developing newer members of the team and sharing out best practices in testing across our wider department.
What are we looking for?
You’ll be a great communicator who can engage with colleagues to understand their requirements and communicate outcomes. We’re looking for someone who has experience in overseeing test activity and test governance, who can learn how the service operates and look for ways to continually improve it. We love when the team spot a process improvement so there’s real opportunity to shape how we do things!
You’ll thrive in this role if you are able to plan effectively, consider risk, and find opportunities. If you enjoy helping to solve puzzles and get a kick from seeing a project over the line, this could be your next role.
You'll have previous test management experience in a similar industry or ideally within financial services.

An ITSQB qualification or equivalent
