Integrated Midwife Band 5 - 6 (dependent on experience) - West Cumberland Hospital - up to 49.5 hours available
Organisation and Team
We would love you to come and join our team at NCIC maternity services. We are proud to say that our service was rated Good at our last CQC inspection and our goal is to provide woman-centred, safe, effective and compassionate midwifery care for women and their families throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods. We have 2 small friendly Consultant led units and a stand-alone birth centre and work closely with our community midwifery teams.
Responsibilities
* Provide ante-natal, intrapartum and post-natal care.
* Work autonomously to support all women with their birth choices, recognising when input from obstetricians and other health professionals is needed and referring appropriately.
* Practice in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.
* Care for high risk women with confidence.
* Conduct suturing, cannulation, Nipe examination, mentoring and supporting junior staff.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child protection pathways.
* Show evidence of research-based care.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Registered midwife, capable of working within Band 5-6 scope dependent on experience.
* Experience in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
