The Wood Bar is an independent Salisbury-based coffee business, proudly serving the local community since 2020. Known for our passionate team, quality coffee, and outstanding service, we've built a loyal customer base and a strong reputation across the city.
Over the past three years, we've grown from strength to strength. Alongside our two permanent locations—inside Parkwood Health & Fitness and the newly opened Five Rivers Leisure Centre—we've also brought our coffee to pop-ups in city parks, Wilton Shopping Village, Christmas events in Bournemouth, and more.
The Role
We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Barista (Full-Time, Zero Hours) to join our close-knit teams at both Parkwood and Five Rivers. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves great coffee, thrives in a community atmosphere, and wants to be part of a vibrant, local independent business.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver warm, welcoming customer service every time
* Prepare consistently high-quality barista coffee with care and pride
* Serve food safely and hygienically, with attention to allergens
* Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, café space, and tables
* Wash up and keep service areas well-stocked and tidy
* Restock shelves and fridges, receive deliveries, rotate stock, and report low stock
What We're Looking For
* A team player who goes the extra mile for customers
* Passion for coffee, people, and the independent business community
* Previous experience in hospitality or customer service (essential)
* Barista experience is a plus – but full training will be provided
