Previous strong experience in gardening and team supervision is essential, as this position requires a confident individual capable of taking the lead and delivering high standards.About Us:We are a family-run garden maintenance company serving a variety of private clients and estates. We're currently looking for a reliable, skilled, and well-experienced Senior Gardener / Team Leader to join our friendly team and help us maintain our reputation for high-quality service.Role Overview:As a Senior Gardener / Team Leader, you will be responsible for a wide range of garden maintenance tasks including hedge cutting, mowing, strimming, bed work, and other general gardening activities. You will also be expected to lead by example, guide junior staff where required, and ensure high standards of work are consistently delivered.This is a self-employed position, and you will be provided with a company van, tools, and support for registering as self-employed if needed. Your responsibilities will also include managing the work van, maintaining tools, and acting as a point of communication between the company and clients.Key Responsibilities:· Hedge cutting, lawn mowing, strimming, bed work, and other garden maintenance tasks· Lead and support junior team members as required· Manage the assigned work van and company tools and flag immediately any issues related to the van or tools· Communicate customer requests and report any issues with equipment or services· Ensure high-quality service, attention to detail, and pride in every job· Work efficiently and independently, with a positive and professional attitudeSkills & Requirements:· Extensive and proven experience in garden maintenance is essential· Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable· Full, valid UK driving licence· Physically fit and able to carry out manual gardening work· Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do approach· Must be based around West Berkshire / Andover area· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to take initiative when working alone or leading a team
