Head of Food and Nutrition (Maternity Cover) - Independent School
Location: Essex (easily accessible through the Elizabeth Line)
Start Date: January 2026 / April 2026
Contract: Maternity Cover (until at least April 2027), Full Time
Salary: Based on the school's generous pay scale
Role and Responsibilities
* Lead the Food and Nutrition department and oversee curriculum delivery across key stages; inspire pupils and maintain high standards of teaching and learning within the subject area.
* Support KS3 as a discrete subject, with progression to GCSE and Sixth Form qualifications; ensure the department’s facilities and resources support practical and theoretical study, fostering innovation, sustainability, and a strong understanding of nutrition and healthy living.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting pupils outside the classroom and participating in the co-curricular programme.
