Job Description Role: Mechanic Location: Prestwick Hours: 07:00 - 19:00, 5,5,4 shift pattern Our client, a busy MRO in Prestwick is seeking a mechanic to support their team. Accountabilities: Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed using the latest approved documentation and procedures. Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy at all times. Maintain awareness and ensure best practises are observed for Health and Safety and Human Factors. Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standards and in line with the MOE. Ensure that they keep their personal work area, hangar bays and facility clean and tidy at all times. Notify the company of any significant findings as soon as possible. Raise a safety report on identifying any hazard or the following of an incident. Obtain and retain company Authorisation. Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested Experience & Qualifications: A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar. Proven work history in a base maintenance environment Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset. You will need to demonstrate your technical experience as well as leadership behaviours, be able to work on your own initiative and make timely decisions. Have the ability to interpret technical publications and make fact based decisions. You need to have a flexible approach, show initiative, and deliver to tight deadlines.
