We are looking for a proactive Quality Compliance and Training Officer to lead the development and continuous improvement of a robust compliance and training framework for Street Services. This is a pivotal role designed to ensure that all statutory, regulatory, and council obligations are met while embedding a culture of safety and continuous learning.
Reporting directly to the Safety, Health & Environment Manager, you will drive audit readiness and leverage digital systems to provide real-time visibility of our workforce compliance. You will be responsible for creating innovative training solutions, including blended and e-learning approaches, to ensure our teams are skilled, safe, and supported.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and Delivery: Compose high-quality training documents and procedural guides and deliver regulated training to staff.
* Compliance Management: Monitor, update, and manage service area training records and matrices to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance.
* Audit & Risk: Identify and monitor risks to maintain audit readiness, advising management on areas of non-compliance.
* Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Safety, Health & Environment, HR, and operational teams to align training with corporate standards.
* Reporting: Produce actionable reports and data-driven insights to support informed decision-making across the service.
To Excel In This Role, You Will Need
* Qualifications: A relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely or above) and a training qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS).
* Experience: Proven experience in designing and delivering training to diverse staff groups and managing complex record systems or databases.
* Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire others and embed a culture of compliance.
* Technical Ability: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using compliance dashboards or reporting systems.
* Commitment: A strong dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring these principles are integrated into all training activities.
This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service.
