Long-Term Cover Supervisor - Edenbridge Area
We are currently recruiting for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work on a long-term basis at a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in the Edenbridge area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain consistent experience in a school setting. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences and will quickly become a familiar face within the school community.
The role involves supervising classes across a range of subjects using work that has already been set. You will be responsible for keeping students on task, managing behaviour in line with school policies, and providing brief feedback to teaching staff after lessons.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
Ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work provided
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a calm and professional manner, and the confidence to lead a classroom independently. Previous experience working with young people is essential, and school-based experience is highly desirable. This role would suit graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking for a long-term position.
