About the Asset Support and Outage Excellence Team UK
The team plays a key role supporting power plant and gas storage projects, outages, and maintenance activities across Uniper's UK and Swedish assets. The role is high-profile, helping to ensure security of supply and delivering Uniper's business strategy to accelerate the energy transition. We are seeking a Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Projects Engineer for a discipline-specific role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of power plant and storage technologies, supporting assets across power generation and storage stations.

Your responsibilities
* Bring a flexible, enthusiastic approach; demonstrate ownership and self-motivation across UK and Swedish assets.
* Apply extensive knowledge in C&I engineering and maintenance to maximize resource utilization and station availability.
* Deliver projects and outages, manage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with HSSE and Quality standards.
* Perform fault finding, problem solving, and investigations on process plant and systems.
* Lead project teams as needed; define scopes of work and develop technical and contract specifications.
* Ensure contractor quality assurance and promote a culture of health, safety, environmental awareness, and quality.
Your profile
Essential
* Higher National Diploma or Degree in a Control & Instrumentation discipline; knowledge of engineering, project management, and maintenance practices.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation; IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH or equivalent.
* Understanding of complex C&I process systems, regulations, and policies.
* Ability to investigate issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
* Ability to manage contracts and projects, including health, safety, environmental, and commercial aspects.
* Full UK driving license.
Desirable
* Functional Safety (IEC61508/61511), Cyber Security for Industrial Systems.
* Experience with lean tools, fault finding, and troubleshooting DCS and PLC systems.
* Knowledge of SAP systems; experience in fast-paced environments.
