Work will typically be undertaken on vessels in service, dockside, in drydock, or during the build and commissioning phases.This opportunity would suit either an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) looking to transition ashore or an established Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer seeking a fresh challenge with a highly respected organisation.HSB Technical's client is a long-established and well-regarded business with an excellent reputation within the marine industry.Duties and Responsibilities of the Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer:Carry out fault finding, repairs to component level, servicing, testing, and commissioning of a wide range of marine electrical and electronic systemsWork across main and auxiliary equipment, from engine room systems through to bridge equipment, including power generation, distribution, switchgear, propulsion, instrumentation, automation, and navigation systemsAssist with the procurement and management of spare partsPerform planned maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and retrofit projectsCommission and set to work new installations and upgraded systemsUndertake modifications and improvements to existing installationsWork closely with the Electrical and Control Systems Design team to develop and deliver new-build and retrofit solutions for marine propulsion systems, auxiliary plant, offshore production systems, and specialist offshore equipmentProvide technical support, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers and other personnelQualifications and Requirements for the Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer:Full UK Driving LicenceAbility to travel throughout the UK and internationally at short noticePrevious marine electrical, automation, or ETO experience would be highly advantageousStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across marine electrical and control systemsThis vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical, who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this position.TPBN1_UKTJ
