Moorfields Eye Hospital invites applications for the post of Outpatient Clinic Coordinator at Moorfields at Stratford and Barking for a Fixed 12 months Term. This post requires hours that cover the administrative duties from 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, 10:00-18:00. You will be required to provide high quality clerical and administrative support as a member of one of our administrative teams. You will act as the first point of contact for all patients, both in a busy outpatient environment and in the administrative offices. We are passionate about delivering an excellent service to patients and you will play a crucial role in achieving this.
Responsibilities
* Reception duties: meeting and greeting patients on arrival, checking patients into the appropriate clinics using the Trust patient administration system, booking clinic appointments, and accurately recording patient data.
* Additional administrative duties: ensuring clinics are booked to profile, preparing patients notes, answering queries (by telephone and in person), filing, scanning, booking patient transport, and supporting the Assistant Clinic Manager with clinic cancellations and other administrative duties.
* Provide effective clinic management, reducing over‑booking of clinics and ensuring a positive experience for patients.
* Provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to the Trust’s outpatient clinics at Moorfields North satellite sites.
* Adhere to all agreed Key Performance Indicators for data quality, providing exception reports where these are not met.
* Respond to telephone enquiries from patients and staff promptly, courteously and in accordance with service guidelines.
* Deal with concerns as appropriate to maintain service efficiency.
* Respond accurately to patient queries regarding their treatment pathway, and refer to relevant colleagues as required.
* Arrange transport bookings for patients as necessary.
