The Tutor will be responsible for a caseload of classroom learners and/or short course delivery. They will plan and carry out assessment against National Occupational Standards, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications. You will also be required to deliver high quality training to all learners on health and social care subjects.

Responsibilities
1. Motivate and support learners to achieve their qualifications and learning aspirations through exceptional teaching and learning
2. Carry out Lesson planning, preparation and research to ensure effective delivery in classroom sessions
3. Ensure that learners are engaged, retained and on target for timely completion of learning aims
4. Monitor learner’s progress and maintain accurate learner records
5. To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners
6. Demonstrate a commitment to promoting Health and safety, Equality and diversity and British Values in line with companies’ policies and procedures
7. Understand, support and promote the Prevent agenda and Winnovation’s Prevent action plan/risk assessment
8. Plan and deliver effective functional skills teaching and learning. Ensure embedding of Functional skills in delivery
9. Set up and support examinations
10. Participate in and support the annual self-assessment process
11. Maintain own annual record of CPD detailing impact to learners
12. Provide information, advice and guidance throughout the learner’s journey and provide effective feedback to learners to allow them to understand where they are on their learning journey and how take next steps to build on achievements
13. Ensure teaching and learning is clearly evidence across all training delivery
14. Ensure Assessment Cycling is operational and fit for purpose
15. Ensure that fair assessment takes place against the national occupational standards are made
16. Complete learner reviews in line with contractual and funding requirements
17. Attend and participate in standardisation meetings and monthly performance reviews
18. Support the company’s marketing strategy
19. Assist with development of the provision to ensure the programme is up to date and has the desired learning impact
20. Identify and support the individual needs of all learners at the point of enrolment and throughout the learner journey
21. Stretch and challenge learners to promote and inspire further learning
22. Support learner and employer relations
23. Work in line with the companies TLA strategy
24. Cover teaching sessions when required
25. Reflect on your own practice to evaluate and develop exceptional teaching, learning and assessment
26. Additional duties appropriate to the post as directed by your line manager
Qualifications
* Must Hold a UK Full Driving License, North East travel will be required
* Must have full competence to deliver subject areas, A relevant experienced role within Adult Heath and Social Care
* Level 4 Certificate of Education or equivalent (Desirable, not a requirement)
