The Role
As a Sales Development Representative at IES, you will play a critical role in driving our mission forward by providing initial contact and engagement with key stakeholders across the public and private sectors in the UK and Ireland, as they reach out to IES via our incoming lead acquisition and marketing activities. In addition, you will be responsible for outbound opportunity generation efforts, to identify and directly engage with key decision-makers, generating qualified meetings and opportunities for the IES Live team Business Development Managers, and help grow the pipeline of sales opportunity within the IES Live team.

You will be an excellent communicator, both vie email and also via telephone, MS Teams and occasionally face-to-face at events and exhibitions. You will enjoy the challenge of seeking out and making contact with new client opportunities, introducing them to the IES Live platform value proposition, and ultimately gaining their agreement to meet with our Business Development Managers to explore IES Live solutions and services in more detail. You will be target driven, focused, and not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate interest in IES products and services.
* Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers through tools like ZoomInfo.
* Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on specific criteria (e.g., need, timing, authority).
* Schedule and coordinate discovery calls for the Business Development Management team.
* Follow up on marketing campaign activity, webinar attendees, and content engagement.
* Maintain accurate records and workflows in Salesforce CRM.
* Attend events and exhibitions as part of the IES sales team.

Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum two years’ experience in outbound sales lead generation, and conversion to client meetings preferred.
* Proven track record of delivering to agreed targets and KPIs.
* Previous experience working within software sales environment preferred, but not essential.
* Qualifications relating to Business Management, Facilities Management, Building Services, Energy Efficiency, Building Design, Building Operation or Environmental Management preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
* Strong understanding of, and ability to use, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce CRM, LinkedIn.
