A leading public sector organization is seeking committed and experienced Social Workers to join our Family Support and Protection (FS&P) teams. Their teams are dedicated to supporting families facing complex, long-term challenges. They offer a progressive working schedule with a nine-day working fortnight for full-time frontline Social Workers.

Advertised Salary: £45,217 to £54,395 per annum

Role Overview:
The selected candidates will work within Children’s Services to provide crucial interventions and support to families, particularly those under child protection plans or requiring alternative care arrangements. By employing systemic and strengths-based methods, our Social Workers build strong relationships and guide families towards positive change while effectively managing risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and address complex social care needs, creating tailored support plans for families.
Ensure adherence to legal frameworks governing statutory intervention.
Collaborate with a range of stakeholders and partners to deliver comprehensive support.
Develop child-centered approaches that promote early intervention, prevention, and independence.
Play an influential role in inter-agency planning and decision-making processes.
Clearly communicate assessments and professional judgments through both oral presentations and written reports, including court statements.
Requirements
Possession of a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Proven experience handling challenging social and family dynamics.
Strong communication skills and the capability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
Demonstrated ability to forge robust partnerships and achieve shared goals with community partners.
Skilled in balancing cost-effective interventions with the need to meet client needs.
Demonstrated decision-making skills with a focus on managing potential risks.
Additional Requirements:
Mobility across a wide operational area; a valid driving licence and car, or the ability to meet mobility requirements through other means, is essential.
Registration with the DBS update service, as required by the role.
