Salary:
Unqualified: Base salary of £29,112.72 to £30,008.16 upon successful completion of the probation period.
Qualified Salary: Base salary of £30,641.52
(Qualified Support Worker salary is based on the proven completion of a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent)
Specific Hours: 08:00 am - 20:00 pm (12-hour shifts)
Location: Greater London (Covering Area Camden homes in Camden, Haringey & Islington)

Your role as a Support Worker is crucial. You will not only ensure the safety of our young people but also play a vital part in their care, learning, and development. You’ll be a key figure in bridging the gap between our community and the young people we support, helping them thrive despite emotional and behavioral challenges.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with your team to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes positive development.
* Provide emotional and social support, helping young people build meaningful relationships.
* Encourage self-esteem and ensure each young person feels respected and valued.
* Support young people in making positive life choices and achieving independence.
* Maintain accurate records of daily and monthly progress, including child protection and health and safety checks.
* Assess and address the needs of children and young people, formulating and reviewing care plans.
* Work closely with managers, health advisors, social workers, and families to provide comprehensive support.
* Assist with daily living needs and involve young people in household tasks, including meal planning and preparation.
Required Attributes

* Strong listening and empathy skills.
* A team player who can also work independently.
* Experience in the care sector or residential care is a plus.
* Commitment to obtaining a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already qualified.
* Willingness to work some Bank Holidays.

* Generous annual leave: 236 hours (including bank holidays), with an increase of 12 extra hours for every 3 years (capped at 272 hours).
