The role
The Crime Analyst role is within the Central Enforcement Support Team, which is at the core of the intelligence function for Natural Resources Wales (NRW). This small team collaborates with colleagues across NRW's functions to deliver various intelligence-led products.
In addition to working with NRW colleagues, the team also partners with local and national agencies. The Crime Analyst is essential in providing analytical products that support enforcement activities.
The post holder will lead the development and implementation of strategic and tactical enforcement plans at both national and local levels. They will be responsible for contributing to UK assessments of environmental crime, offering specialist analytical support for investigations, and tackling serious and organized illegal activities. The role also involves fostering an intelligence-led enforcement culture within the team and organization.
NRW supports flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will be based at the specified NRW office and will agree on a hybrid working pattern. Any face-to-face meetings or training will be scheduled in advance.
