This is a hands‑on leadership role where your organisation, attention to detail, and ability to motivate a team will directly shape the cleanliness and safety of the workplace. You will lead a team of cleaning operatives, uphold high cleaning standards, manage schedules, train staff, and ensure all areas—including offices, kitchens, toilets, and meeting rooms—are maintained to exceptional levels. Your contribution is essential in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all building users. Key Responsibilities Supervision of Cleaning Staff — Oversee daily cleaning operations, allocate tasks, and ensure all duties are completed to the highest standard. Training & Development — Train new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, equipment use, chemical safety, and PPE requirements. Quality Control Inspections — Carry out regular inspections, identify issues, and correct any deficiencies to maintain consistent standards. Scheduling & Rota Management — Prepare staff schedules, manage holiday and sick leave, and ensure adequate coverage across all areas. Establishing Cleaning Guidelines — Set cleaning standards, introduce safety protocols, and ensure all staff follow company procedures. Inventory & Supply Management — Monitor stock levels, control usage, and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed. Maintenance & Repairs Reporting — Report faulty equipment, damaged surfaces, or areas requiring repair to management promptly. Customer Interaction — Address client concerns professionally and ensure swift resolution to maintain satisfaction. Record Keeping — Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, attendance, incidents, and inspection outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Attention to Detail — Ability to maintain consistent, high cleaning standards. Organisational Skills — Strong ability to manage schedules, staff, and supplies efficiently. Communication Skills — Confident in giving instructions, providing feedback, and liaising with clients and management. Supervisory Experience — Previous experience supervising cleaning staff is preferred. Own Transport — Ability to travel reliably to the site for early morning shifts.
