Products & Services Directorate
The GOV.UK App team is part of the P&S Directorate, responsible for the GOV.UK App and shared systems that enable efficient public service delivery:
* GOV.UK App: building a personalized, proactive user relationship
* GOV.UK Pay: enabling online payments
* GOV.UK Notify: facilitating high-volume messaging
* GOV.UK Forms: creating accessible online forms easily
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team through the product lifecycle, ensuring quality and stakeholder collaboration. You will assess feasibility, align with strategic goals, and manage dependencies.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing products and teams in complex environments
* Creating long-term plans addressing risks and changes
* Coordinating across multiple teams
* Motivating teams and setting a shared vision
* Developing product principles and agile practices
* Engaging with stakeholders and users
* Supporting financial, commercial, and procurement activities
* Line managing and mentoring other product managers
Person specification
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in developing and releasing digital products using agile methods
* Understanding of disciplines like engineering, design, research, and data science
* Experience engaging with users and translating insights into improvements
* Stakeholder management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to evaluate ROI and use data analytics
* Experience in various delivery phases and adaptability
