DEPARTMENT: BBC Audience Planning - Content Division
LOCATION: London - Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £31,800 - £41,800 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights

JOB PURPOSE
Join the BBC Audience Planning team to shape content strategy across TV and digital platforms. As an Audience Planner, you'll play a key role in embedding insight into creative decisions, helping deliver impactful content that resonates with audiences.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Report into the Head of Content Planning and contribute to shaping creative strategy across TV and iPlayer.
* Collaborate with researchers to shape projects and identify issues and opportunities.
* Influence product development and content commissioning and creation.
* Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders including commissioners.
* Undertake strategic projects such as mood/occasion analysis, content mix recommendations, and platform engagement insights.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Strong planning craft skills with evidence of personal impact.
* Curious and pragmatic problem solver with strategic thinking abilities.
* Ability to translate complex research into compelling narratives.
* Proactive and resilient with a drive to initiate and complete work.
* Passionate about BBC content and its public purpose.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
* Experience working in multi-skilled teams and co-authoring presentations.
* Background in content or media brands.
