GI Group is seeking to appoint an Electrical Installations Lecturer based in Rotherham. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding education and training, preparing students for their future careers. This role is ideal for those looking to transition into teaching or experienced lecturers aiming to join a 'Good' OFSTED-rated FE College with aspirations to become 'Outstanding'.
Main Duties:
1. Teach and assess a range of courses and learning programmes, including planning, preparation, and assessment to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
2. Handle administrative tasks such as learner registration, attendance, record keeping, tracking, reporting, and liaising with parents/guardians for 16-18 learners.
3. Prepare students for higher education and the workforce by developing vocational and employability skills through the curriculum and external/internal links.
4. Provide guidance and support to learners through activities like interviews, enrolment, and promotional events.
5. Manage the academic and pastoral care of students, coordinating support with the Curriculum Team Leader and Progress Tutor.
Role Requirements:
* Appropriate teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
* Ability to teach at all levels and adapt delivery methods innovatively.
* Practical experience that can be translated into effective learning activities.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
* Level 3 trade qualification.
