Assistant Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer / Field Service Technician required to join leading pump manufacturer.
The successful Assistant Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer / Field Service Technician will support lead engineers with the installation, commissioning, and servicing of sewage and surface water pumping stations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Assistant Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer / Field Service Technician will ideally be a motivated engineer looking to progress within a growing company and develop a long-term career in the water and wastewater industry.

Assistant Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer / Field Service Technician Role
* Support Lead Engineers with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of pumping stations to required specifications.
* Assist in fault-finding and repair during both planned and emergency works.
* Participate in the iMAS telemetry monitoring rota, providing timely and effective customer support.
* Collaborate with Operations and Service teams to ensure smooth project delivery and excellent client service.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to support KPI and SLA performance.
* Uphold strict Health & Safety and Quality standards, contributing positively to team and business success.
* Fieldwork around Chelmsford and surrounding areas.
Assistant Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer / Field Service Technician Requirements
* Experience as a Trainee Engineer, Junior Engineer, Installation Engineer, Field Service Technician, Fitters Mate, Workshop Engineer, Service Engineer or similar role within pumping systems, utilities, or mechanical services.
* Strong technical understanding of mechanical or electrical systems, ideally related to pumps or wastewater infrastructure.
* Knowledge of fluid power and / or experience with mechanical products in advantageous.
* An interest in Filtration, hydraulics, valves, pumps, pump systems, motors, rotating equipment or similar fluid power / mechanical engineering products.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Full UK driving license.
* Fieldwork around Chelmsford and surrounding areas.
