Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to help clients at risk of homelessness or living in unsuitable accommodation. We are seeking front line Housing Solutions Advisors to join a team that makes a difference and transforms lives.
Responsibilities
* Undertake homeless assessments and process applications to the Authority's Common Housing Register.
* Produce innovative solutions to prevent homelessness by keeping clients in their homes or finding alternative accommodation.
* Manage complex and detailed casework, ensuring compliance with statutory duties of a local authority.
* Build and manage own caseload to meet Bridgend's service standards, working under pressure and on own initiative.
* Plan and prioritise work effectively and coordinate with partner agencies to reduce reliance on temporary accommodation.
* Respond adaptively to changing circumstances and maintain a high quality housing service.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in detailed homelessness prevention casework and knowledge of homelessness legislation.
* Ability to make enquiries and legal decisions in line with statutory duties.
* Strong problem solving, assertiveness, and sensitivity.
* Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Adaptability and proactive response to changing situations.
* Effective planning and prioritisation to deliver high quality service.
