VANRATH are delighted to be working with a public sector employer in Ballymena who are recruiting an Accountant to join their team for an initial time frame of 3 months. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large public sector employer who provide an essential service to the local communities.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Accountant will take responsibility of maintaining effective financial management, compliance and team development within the organisation. The accountant will contribute to accurate and timely financial management, reporting and compliance within the business.

About you
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* 2 years' experience in financial management, accounting or auditing
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* IT literate including strong reporting skills
* Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
* Available at short notice
What you'll do
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including budgetary analysis, monthly and quarterly management accounts
* Assist in development and monitoring of annual budgets
* Manage cash flow and liquidity
* Investigate variances against budget and provide analysis of differences
* Financial analysis to support decision making processes, identify trends, and assess financial performance
