Your newpanyHays Belfast are currently recruiting an Earthworks Foreman for our client, who is one of the leading Groundworks Contractor firms in the UK and Ireland. Your new role
As Earthworks Foreman, your initial site will be a large project based in Derry, involving the construction of a Data Centre, with your new employer awarded the earthworks package initially. As Foreman, you will take control of some of the following duties:
1. Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
2. Produce schedules and monitor crew attendance.
3. Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
4. Ensure workforce and resources are adequate.
5. Monitor the use of machinery and equipment.
6. Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
7. Maintain daily communication with all main contractor clients.
8. Ensure work follows specified quality standards.
These responsibilities ensure that the Earthworks Foreman effectively manages the crew, maintains safety standards, and ensures the quality and efficiency of the project.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as an Earthworks Foreman, you'll need a combination of technical skills, experience, and personal qualities. Here are some key requirements and responsibilities:
* Previous experience in a similar groundwork, earthworks, civils Foreman / Supervisor role, as well as knowledge of earthworks equipment and tools.
* You will ideally hold some supervisory / management tickets that are valid and in date.
* Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team effectively.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance on site.
Initially, this role will be based in County Derry; however, some travel will be required for the role thereafter.
