Job Summary
* We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fleet Officer to manage the company’s fleet of light vehicles and oversee drivers’ operations.
* The ideal candidate will ensure efficient vehicle usage, proper maintenance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor daily operations of company vehicles and drivers
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
* Enforce compliance with traffic and safety regulations
* Maintain accurate fleet records and reports
* Address driver-related issues and ensure discipline and performance
* Schedule and track vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs
* Ensure proper documentation (vehicle licenses, insurance, permits) are up to date
* Assign vehicles and drivers based on operational needs
* Monitor fuel usage and control costs
Requirements
* HND/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field
* Good organizational and record-keeping skills
* Ability to manage drivers and coordinate operations effectively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Proven experience in fleet or transport management (especially light vehicles)
* Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety standards
* Attention to detail and accountability
* Cost management and efficiency
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
