A Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in pain management at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The department has over 30 consultants, 5 of whom specialise in chronic pain management.
Kingston Hospital Pain Clinic
The Pain Clinic is a well-established team comprising Consultants, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, an Acupuncturist, 2 Pain Specialist Nurses and an Alexander Technique Teacher, supported by a dedicated Administrative Team.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a special interest in chronic pain to join our thriving department. The role requires advanced training in chronic pain management and preferably passing FFPMRCA or equivalent in Pain Medicine.
Responsibilities
* Provide anaesthetic and pain management care in the Pain Clinic.
* Involve in quality improvement projects and research to support the department.
* Participate in teaching and training of junior staff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Advanced training in Chronic Pain management.
* FFPMRCA or equivalent in Pain Medicine (preferably).
* Strong evidence of involvement in quality improvement projects and research.
* Experience in teaching and training (highly desirable).
Employment Details
Fixed term post for 12 months. Interview date TBC. JD has been approved by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
Location
Kingston Hospital, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. Outpatient clinics run in Raynes Park Health Centre and Teddington Memorial Hospital.
