A leading engineering organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to establish and grow a new multidisciplinary water design team in the South East. Recruiting on behalf of our client, we are searching for a dynamic leader with the capability to build a high-performing team, drive design excellence and support the development of a brand-new satellite office in the South East.
The Role
As Senior Water Design Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the client’s South East operations. You will be responsible for developing and managing a multidisciplinary engineering team and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality water sector design projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Establish and manage a new satellite office in the South East
* Create, lead and develop a multidisciplinary water design team
* Identify, attract and retain local engineering and management talent
* Maintain a positive team ethos and professional working culture
* Plan and grow the team in line with strategic objectives
* Oversee team structure, performance and development
* Ensure all design work follows established processes and procedures
* Deliver fully integrated design outputs that meet safety and quality requirements
* Ensure delivery within agreed timescales and budgeted hours
* Promote the use of appropriate industry standards, best practice and software tools
* Record and manage project change for all design packages
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
* Significant experience within the regulated water industry
* Chartered status or working towards chartership with a recognised engineering or management professional body
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Ability to inspire, guide and develop a high-performing technical team
