Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a 3-year Apprenticeship, working towards the Level 3 Food and Drink Technical Operator qualification. You will participate in training courses and team-building events, while tackling real challenges and gaining responsibility.
We seek a team player and communicator with motivation, results-driven attitude, and a positive mindset. As a Mars Apprentice, you will earn a professional qualification and gain on-the-job experience.
Salary: £20,000, increasing annually, plus bonus and benefits.

You will be part of our team producing James Wellbeloved pet food.
What are we looking for?
* GCSEs Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
* Interest in leadership and hands-on work
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Desire to learn
* Willingness to travel to Castle Cary, Bridgewater, and Taunton College
* Age 16+ by 1st September 2025
* No more than 2 years of operations experience, prior learning, or higher qualifications than NVQ Level 3 in operations
Key responsibilities:
Under mentorship, you will:
* Develop leadership skills to lead a team
* Learn to operate, diagnose faults, repair, and maintain equipment
* Work in process and wrapping areas
* Apply Mars quality and safety standards
Upon completing the apprenticeship, you will demonstrate leadership, ownership, and the ability to manage machines and processes, coordinate teams, and handle complex operational tasks.
