About the Apprenticeship
The Airbus Facility Management Technical Apprenticeship is a 3‑year programme offering industry experience, a Level 3 framework and no tuition fees. You will develop skills in maintenance, sustainability, safety, and engineering.
What you will be doing
Placements are at the Wing Manufacturing Centre of Excellence with on‑site work once a week. You will support teams across Facilities Services, Sustainability, Minor Works Projects and Health & Safety.
Key Activities
* Engineer support for daily site issues and planned preventive maintenance.
* Coordinate with external service partners for service delivery.
* Review infrastructure layout to develop optimisation solutions.
* Assess supplier workmanship standards and project designs.
* Develop projects/designs to improve reliability and sustainability.
* Collaborate on investment programmes to deliver cost‑of‑ownership improvements.
* Work on technical infrastructure specifications for Minor Works Projects.
* Evaluate technical proposals for alignment with asset strategy.
* Understand infrastructure impact on energy and maintenance.
* Understand and implement health and safety responsibilities and best practices.
* Perform infrastructure audits for site compliance.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English and Science.
* Eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance or subject to BPSS check.
* Right to work in the UK for the full duration.
* Eligible for levy funding.
* Predicted grades may result in a conditional offer.
