Kimal is an innovative manufacturer and distributor of customised procedure packs and vascular access devices to clinical departments in over seventy countries worldwide. The company manufactures over two million procedure packs and vascular access devices every year for a range of specialties including Cardiology, Radiology, Pacing, Laparoscopy, and Cardiac Surgery; and its unique, ground-breaking central venous catheter technology is helping to reduce patient risk in hospitals across the world.
We are looking for a Team Leader to manage the operations team to ensure that safety, quantity, quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved within agreed timescales to ensure we continue to meet our customer needs. You will be part of a team that creates surgical procedure packs, which are used in hospitals throughout the UK and around the world.
Requirements:
* Lead a team of production & cleaning operatives, ensuring targets and deadlines are met, and the cleanrooms are maintained to a high standard.
* Ensure the requirements of the Company Health and Safety Policy are achieved and that the requirements of appropriate statutory legislation are met.
* Manage on a day-to-day basis employee issue, including cleanroom hygiene, discipline, absence, housekeeping, motivation and morale ensuring a record is kept on the internal system.
* Deliver daily team briefings, allocate tasks, and provide on-the-job training where necessary
* Monitor production output, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are maintained
* Liaise with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to keep production running smoothly
* Support the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives
* Deputising the night shift manager in their absence, taking control of the night shift and dealing with any emergencies or issue if they arise.
Person Specification:
* ILM level 3 or Equivalent.
* Proven experience in a team leader/supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a team of 15+
* Strong leadership, motivational, and organisational skills
* Knowledge of production processes, health & safety standards, and quality systems
* Hands-on approach with a can-do attitude
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S (desirable)
* Computer Literate

9pm-06.30am - Monday-Thursday
