This role is to cover maternity for 12 months. We are seeking a skilled Administrator to join an established engineering business. As an Engineering Administrator, you will work with the Project Engineers to support with technical documentation required. This involves working with material requisitions, drawings, parts documentation and more.
Your background as an Engineering Administrator:
Previous experience of working in an Engineering Administrator (or similar) position. We need someone with a good eye for detail and is comfortable working with technical documentation.
Any administration experience within a manufacturing or engineering business in general.
Flexible approach and keen to help support the wider team. You will have the opportunity to cover a range of tasks to keep the role engaged.
Good communication skills for liaison with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office packages and generally good IT skills.
Engineering Administrator Responsibilities:
Prepare and process requisitions for materials, equipment, and services.
Fold engineering drawings and conduct initial checks for obvious errors prior to engineer review.
Print and prepare parts documentation and related components.
Chase outstanding parts and maintain up-to-date packing lists.
Prepare and issue manuals and drawing re-issues.
Support day-to-day operational tasks, including recycling, document retrieval, and weighing assistance.
Locate and track parts and items in process/stores.
Conduct general administrative duties, including report preparation and project tracking.
