We’re partnering with a rapidly growing advanced engineering organisation based in Belfast, operating at the cutting edge of zero-emission propulsion and high-performance manufacturing.
They are building something genuinely world-class, and procurement is critical to that journey.
The Opportunity
As Senior Buyer, you will:
* Lead a small team of Buyers and take real ownership of performance and delivery
* Drive strategic sourcing across complex mechanical and engineered components
* Negotiate supplier agreements that protect cost, quality and continuity
* Partner closely with Operations, Engineering and Production
* Influence ERP improvements and process optimisation
* Play a key role in production readiness and cross-functional planning forums
This is a hands-on leadership role where commercial judgement, supplier strategy and operational alignment matter daily.
You won’t be firefighting purchase orders.
You’ll be shaping procurement capability in a scaling manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For
This role will suit someone who:
* Has strong experience in strategic procurement within manufacturing or engineering
* Is confident negotiating at all levels and driving cost improvements
* Understands complex, multi-SKU mechanical or systems-based products
* Has led supplier relationship management programmes
* Can operate both strategically and tactically
* Is comfortable leading and developing others
Exposure to composites, mechanical systems, or advanced manufacturing is highly desirable.
CIPS/APICS membership is advantageous but not essential.
