About The Role
At HC-One, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed Care Assistants to join our Flex Force team. If you’re looking to earn extra money while gaining valuable experience in the care sector, Flex Force offers contracted hours and guaranteed set pay each month, with the freedom to choose shifts that fit around your family life or other commitments. Shifts are offered across our care homes in the Teesside area, providing a variety of opportunities and flexibility to shape your working week.
Shifts are scheduled between Monday and Sunday and may not always be consecutive, including days, nights, and weekends. As a Flex Force Care Assistant, you’ll travel between a cluster of our homes (Highfield, Park House, Roseberry Court and St Peters Court), which is an essential and expected part of the role. Flexibility is key to support the unique needs of each home while maintaining your schedule.
The roles involve supporting residents with a range of care needs and helping maintain their dignity and individuality.
Responsibilities
* Supporting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals
* Helping residents with limited mobility
* Taking responsibility for the wellbeing of residents on and off site
A driving licence with access to a vehicle would be advantageous but is not essential.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care. You should be able to recognise signs that may indicate abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
