Our client, a large business based in Nottingham, is recruiting a Payroll Manager initially on a 12 month contract, but could lead to a permanent role. This role could be fully remote, but ideally you would be able to travel to Nottingham every few weeks.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a large household name business.\n\nDescription\n\nManage end-to-end UK payroll processing on a monthly and/or weekly basis.\n\nEnsure compliance with HMRC regulations and employment law, including Real Time Information (RTI), National Minimum Wage, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP).\n\nOversee year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds, and benefit-in-kind reporting.\n\nManage relationships with pension providers and ensure auto-enrolment duties are fulfilled.\n\nLead and support a team of payroll administrators, fostering development and high performance.\n\nLiaise with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal) to ensure accurate payroll data and reporting.\n\nMaintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.\n\nManage payroll audits (internal/external) and ensure robust governance.\n\nDrive system improvements and participate in payroll system upgrades, integrations, or transitions (e.g., Workday, SAP, Resource Link).\n\nEnsure accurate reporting for finance and budgeting, including payroll journal entries and reconciliations.\n\nProvide guidance on payroll implications for business changes, such as TUPE transfers, acquisitions, and restructures.\n\nManage a team of 7/8 people\n\nProfile\n\nAn experienced payroll manager with experience in a large company and managing a team, who can start asap and commit to a 12 month contract initially.\n\nJob Offer\n\nA basic salary of around £50,000\n\nFlexible working hours\n\nPotential for part time hours
