Predominantly working in London and the South East, however some works will be Nationwide, so being happy with travel and some stay away is a necessity. To be able to wire, fix, fault-find, conduct PPMS, routine maintenance inspections & commission a range of natural and mechanical smoke ventilation systems. To ensure smoke ventilation systems are able to be fully operated on - conduct full operational and cause-and-effect testing. To be able to manage large or small installations and ensure that the team you are working with are working to the correct design and standards as per the drawings provided. To be able to communicate with other trades to ensure smooth completion of a project. Carry out electrical wiring, equipment installation, and integration of components including control panels, actuators, detectors, and manual override switches. Smoke Ventilation Engineer Job Requirements NVQ Level 3 / CSCS / ECS card holder PASMA / IPAF (desirable) Based in London or Hertfordshire Working at height and familiarity with safe access equipment. Working knowledge of Approved Document B (ADB) Working knowledge of BS EN 12101 Working knowledge of BS 9999, BS 9991 & BS 7346 pt 8 Working knowledge of smoke control manufacturers such as Colt, SCS, FDS, SE Controls, Actulux and other equipment.
