Competitive salary with potential bonus. £41,500.00 plus a profit and performance related bonus of 10%.

We are looking for a Buyer, located in Basingstoke, North Hampshire with regular travel to France – this is an essential part of the role. MaxiCoffee is a French company with a deep passion for the world of coffee.

Role and scope
The Buyer manages a portfolio of local UK suppliers across multiple product categories, aligned with the company\'s purchasing strategy. This involves working with digital platforms, data analysis, and understanding consumer usage; this is not just about purchasing products in a procurement capacity. They work closely with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure the relevance of the product assortment, optimize commercial conditions, and achieve profitability goals.
Key responsibilities
* Source, select, and contract with suppliers.
* Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
* Coordinate with commercial teams to adapt the offer based on customer needs and market trends.
* Collaborate with the supply chain to secure supply and optimize flows.
* Contribute to the definition and implementation of the local sourcing strategy.
* Develop, build and understand the digital buying world.
* Learn to understand business and consumer needs and analyze data.
* Onboarding new suppliers and products, negotiating key terms (pricing, delivery schedules, payment conditions, lead times, guarantees, etc.).
* Engage with suppliers to negotiate prices and purchasing agreements.
* Continuously evaluating and optimizing commercial conditions.
* Monitor supplier performance and category-specific KPIs.
* Oversee all aspects of negotiation, including pricing, contractual terms, and promotional initiatives.
* Manage product database efficiently.
* Coordinate with internal departments regarding supplier updates and changes.
* Support trade marketing negotiations.
* Facilitate the development of strategic partnerships.
Activity overview
As MaxiCoffee expands its digital presence into new markets, the Buyer for the UK will shape the local product portfolio, strengthen relationships with local branches of existing suppliers, and establish partnerships with new suppliers aligned with market demands and commercial objectives. The Buyer reports to the Purchasing Director and operates within defined guidelines, with core responsibilities including market and supplier analysis, onboarding, terms negotiation, and ongoing supplier management.

* Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
* Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
