Job Title: Site Agent – Permanent Opportunity

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Site Agent to lead delivery of a major highways development in Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of site operations, manage engineering teams, and support the Project Manager in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, mentor, and support Site Engineers and Section Engineers.
* Assist the Project Manager in planning and delivering the construction phase.
* Oversee allocation and control of project resources.
* Compile and review work package and management plans.
* Ensure project delivery within programme and budget.
* Work with Planning teams to provide accurate programme data.
* Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Conduct daily briefings, site diaries, and regular site meetings.
* Support preparation of project close-out reports.
* Promote and embed a strong safety culture across the site team.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Site Agent or similar role.
* HNC (or higher) in Civil Engineering.
* Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Solid technical competence with a strong work ethic.
* SMSTS and First Aid at Work certification.
* Strong understanding of CDM and current Health & Safety legislation.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience on highways schemes.
* Previous responsibility for managing a site or section of works.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* CPCS Appointed Person (Lifting) and/or Temporary Works Coordinator training.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
