Overview
Based in our Bath Office, the O&M Regional Planner plays a crucial role in efficiently scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with available resources, planning strategies, and operational requirements while meeting client contractual expectations. A significant aspect of the role involves fostering and maintaining strong client relations and positive business-to-business connections with stakeholders, including asset management and regional O&M managers.
Responsibilities
* Plan work initiated through O&M contractual planned maintenance requirements, ensuring that the required resources are available and work is carried out in line with maintenance plans, asset criticalities and any contract response times (where applicable).
* Determine and monitor labour capacity to develop future-looking work plans and maximise resource utilisation.
* Provide dynamic decision making on reactive issues arising in the region(s).
* Schedule corrective and preventative maintenance through the company’s systems.
* Respond to client queries within the assigned regions.
* Be accountable for the region's scheduling daily, track the overall in-month plan and adherence to this.
* Communicate (written and verbal) with internal and external stakeholders.
* Periodically travel to aligned regions to meet teams and participate in regional meetings, including presenting data on region performance for planned and corrective maintenance activities.
* Produce annually the Preventative Maintenance plan for all solar farms within the aligned region, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
* Manage, control, and fulfil the O&M maintenance plans.
* Manage the CMMS for activities such as creating work orders, quotations, and purchase orders.
* Organise contractor works within the region and update clients on progress of specific works/projects.
* Use and support the development of operation management systems and planning tools.
* Drive profitability on work orders.
Experience & Knowledge Required
* Proven experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrable experience in O&M business, including planning and quarterly planning.
Skills Required
* Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Ability to plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities aligned to contractual and operational requirements.
* Labour Capacity Management: Experience in determining and monitoring labour capacity for future work plans.
* Experience with EAMS/CMMS: Skilled in using Enterprise Asset Management Systems or similar for creating work orders, quotations, purchase orders, maintenance scheduling, and reporting.
* Procurement Knowledge: Some experience with procurement processes related to maintenance activities.
* Data Analysis: Strong analytical and numerical skills for planning, decision-making, and performance tracking.
* Use of Planning Tools & Systems: Proficiency with operation management and planning systems to develop and support maintenance plans.
* Microsoft Office Proficiency: Comfortable using Excel, Word, Outlook, and possibly PowerPoint for reporting and communication.
Education Required
* Planning background advantageous or similar electrical background.
* Any planning-related qualifications.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent would be advantageous.
