We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. Duties
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities.
* Support the team in food production tasks, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
* Participate in menu planning and development, providing input based on seasonal ingredients.
* Help supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to minimise waste and maintain quality.
* Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
* Contribute to maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, showcasing culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong team management skills.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings.
* Experience in supervising or leading a small team is advantageous but not mandatory.
