IT Support Engineer - Full Time - Newry c£40,000 per annum REED Technology Belfast are delighted to partner with our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, who due to continued growth and expansion are seeking to recruit a IT Support Engineer to join their team Responsibilities: Technical Support Provide first- and second-line technical support for users across the business. Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware systems. Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance. Support onboarding/offboarding of staff, ensuring secure device setup and data hand-back. Network & Systems Management Maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, Intune/Entra/BitLocker and internet connectivity. Support Microsoft 365 administration and ensure data security. Manage backups, updates and cybersecurity measures. IT Operations & Documentation Maintain accurate records of support tickets and technical documentation. Support onboarding of new staff with IT setups and training. Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures and GDPR standards. Responsible for maintaining IT asset and software licence registers, file audit evidence. Act as internal liaison with external providers and MSPs to escalate issues and track delivery. Project Support & Continuous Improvement Assist specialists in the delivery of IT-related projects such as Salesforce. Support ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials audits by coordinating evidence gathering and staff training completion. Create and deliver simple user guides and training materials for EPAS staff. Identify opportunities to improve IT systems and processes. Essential Criteria Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 3 years experience in anIT support role. Excellent knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and IT security principles. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Experience with network administration and remote support tools. Exposure to ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials environments desirable. Ability to travel occasionally, clean drivers licence and passport desirable. IT certifications desirable. Benefits: Full business travel expenses.
