We are seeking an ambitious,self-motivated junior software developer to join our expanding teamwith a passion to deliver projects on time and on budget within anAgile software development team using the latest technologies. Limitedsupervision and direction is required for this individual to deliverresults. This position is ideally suited for someone starting theircareer as a developer with no previous commercial experience insoftware development. PLEASE NOTE: We only acceptapprenticeship transfers under exceptional circumstances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The junior software developer will be involved in thedelivery of projects for clients:
* Contribute to technical analysis, solutiondesign, user experience design, development, testing,implementation and deployment;
* applying change control processes;
* reporting to project manager on projectprogress;
* create andmaintain software documentation; and
* assist in code reviews to maintain project quality.

REQUIREMENTS - ESSENTIAL
Essential requirements for this position are as follows:
* Great attention to detail and time-managementskills;
* Strong interest innew technologies and concepts;
* Desire to achieve Microsoft development qualificationsthrough continual learning;
* Fluent in English with excellent written, verbalcommunication and presentation skills; and
* A positive “can do” attitude.
* 160 UCAS points or 64 tariff points; and
* GCSEs at C or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
* GCSEs at C or above, or equivalent, in Maths andEnglish; and
* Foundation degree withcomputing as the core discipline OR;
* Level 5qualification with computing as the core discipline OR;
* First two years of bachelor’s degree with computing as the core discipline.
REQUIREMENTS - DESIRED
The following desired requirements would also be advantageous:
* Some knowledge ofobject-oriented programming;
* Write well designed, testable, efficient code and anawareness of best software development practices andprogramming principles;
* Some knowledge of relational database design andexperience with Microsoft SQL;
* Awareness of how web applications work includingsecurity, session management, and best developmentpractices;
* Awareness of unitand integration testing and the purpose of testscripts; and
* Foundationdegree in a computing related discipline OR a clearand proven track record of success.
