We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Denbighshire. This long-term position is ideal for a confident practitioner with a passion for inspiring students across subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
You will be joining a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
* Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback that supports achievement and development.
* Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school activities.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Maintain accurate records and support students’ pastoral needs where required.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting.
* Strong classroom management skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
